Dermalift HIFU high focused ultrasound delivers 1200 watts of energy being the best on the market today. HIFU powered transducers deliver concentrated waves of ultrasound into multiple layers of skin and body tissues without making direct contact with surrounding areas. Transferring stabilized temperatures of 65~75°C into the targeted zones the Dermalift aims to induce a process of neocollagenesis while tightening body tissues for contouring purposes. Each machine is pre-loaded with a software system with all handle functions before shipment. When users need to upgrade the machine functions, they only need to purchase the handle with that function, plug the handle into the machine and the software system can automatically identify the new handle for the HIFU functions.
What is HIFU ?
HIFU stands for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound. HIFU is a form of ultrasound energy that has been safely used in the medical field for many years, however it is a relatively new innovation now utilised in cosmetic treatments for reducing the appearance of ageing by means of toning, tightening and lifting of the dermal layers within the skin.
How does it work?
HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. Thermal energy is produced within the dermis and this dermal heating results in:
- Skin Tightening/Lifting – immediate contraction of collagen fibres causing them to shrink into a more compact form.
- Skin Rejuvenation – new collagen deposition over the next 2-4 months.
- Improved Skin Health – heating of the dermal layer causes increased blood and lymph flow.
What areas can be treated?
The whole face can be treated, along with the neck & jawline. Skin tightening on the body can also be achieved on the tummy, thighs, buttocks & upper arms. Deeper cartridges on the HIFU will reach as far down as the SMAS layer resulting in the melting of fat cells thus promoting fat reduction.
How long do treatments take & what does HIFU feel like?
On average treatments 15-30 minutes, with additional time at the initial treatment for a consultation. Depending which area is being treated, a slight warmth may be experienced in the treatment site.
